Coomera Town Centre Land Parcel Sold to Becton

A large 8.5ha parcel of industrial land in the Coomera Town Centre has just sold for $11 million.The japanese owned company Coomera Resort have sold the land to the Becton Property Group.

The Becton group are looking to develop their remaining holdings in the precinct which include residential, bulky goods and light industrial.

Coomera Resort sold its largest holding to QIC and Westfield last year at the cost of $44 million. This gave them a 35 ha parcel which is designated to become the Coomera Town centre retail and commercial hub.

The Coomera Town Centre has its own planning scheme which is being finalised by the Gold Coast City Council. Coomera Town Centre is proposed to have 54,000 sqm of retail space with department stores, retailers, specialty outlets and supermarkets.

Much interest has been focused ont he town centre which will also feature 50,000 sqm of office space, 30,000 sqm of bulky goods space, 10,000sqm of mixed-use retail space and 15,000 sqm of future retail space.

The town centre will also have a TAFE college, library, community centre, high-density residential, public plaza and a major transport station based around the current Coomera railway station.
